Picoxystrobin 6.78%w/w + Tricyclazole 20.33 w/w sc: This is systemic fungiside. as per cibrc guidline it is mostly recommended for only two crop paddy and chilli.
Paddy(Rice) -Leaf blast and neck blast 1 liter/ha.
chilli- Anthracnose, wet rot, powedery mildew.
Mode of action:
Picoxysrobin: The strobilurin group fungicide picoxystrobin is a member of the Qo (quinone outside) inhibitor class. It works by interfering with the way the electron transport chain in the mitochondria of fungus cells functions. It specifically prevents the cytochrome bc1 complex (complex III), which is necessary for the fungus to produce energy (ATP synthesis).Picoxystrobin efficiently affects the ability of the fungal cell to produce energy by interfering with this mechanism, which results in the pathogen's death.
Tricyclazole: Tricyclazole is a systemic fungicide that belongs to the phenyl and benzene compound chemical class. Its primary method of action is to inhibit melanin formation, a pigment required for the structural integrity of fungal cell walls. Tricyclazole inhibits the enzyme polyketide synthase, which is involved in the formation of melanin in fungal cells. As a result, fungal cell walls become weaker and more vulnerable to external stress, eventually leading to cell death.
Tricyclazole prevents the formation of melanin, while picoxystrobin interferes with fungus respiration. This dual impact can better control numerous fungal diseases in crops and help stop the emergence of resistance in fungal populations.
